Introduction
Hello, so a bit about me and my motivation. I am a young American with a biological root in this issue, but I have found that to which side I am ethnically tied is irrelevant and often crippling in the pursuit of productive discussion. I created this forum because I believe in people like me. Personally, I am sick and tired of counterproductive mudslinging (by Israelis, Palestinians, Americans, you name it, and believe me I've done it too) veiled as constructive thought. I adhere to the mantra that this is a new generation, bound by a greater than ever interconnectedness, and that if our parents and grandparents won't have civil discussion, then we will. We are young and can easily extract ourselves from the painful past, and we are, regardless of this discussion board, the generation that will move forward and create a new political and social landscape in the volatile region at hand. I believe in the open-mindedness of my peers, in the need for understanding between factions, and more than anything, that peace can and will endure. I thought that something like this might be a good tiny (tiny, tiny, tiny, I know; I'm a pragmatist underneath it all) little stepping stone to help ease the process.

I also want to clarify one last time that this is not an outlet for any kind of diatribe or needless vilification. I recognize fully that there is both good and bad on either side and it must all be discussed. Believe me, I'm not one to shy away from the tough stuff. I'm just saying, be respectful. Be tasteful. People will return the favor.

One.
To begin, I would like to thank you for trying to do your part in resolving an issue that has caused way too much pain and suffering for everyone. For far too long, presidents, politicians, countries and citizens haven’t been able to resolve this conflict. The good news is we are a generation of change. We are a generation that is tired of seeing war, tired of seeing bloodshed and most of all tired of seeing hate. My dream is that my children (or even grandchildren if children would be considered premature) wont have any clue that a conflict had ever been. Whatever you believe and whomever you believe in, remember that they created all of us. Lets finally stand as one, hand in hand and shout out, no more fighting!, no more war! and no more tears!
It stops today. We are ONE.
Peace.

Re: Introduction
Thank you so much for your post, and I really do agree with what you've said. As you can see, I'm still trying to get the word out, but it's great to see someone here!
